There are things we rarely speak about. Because we do not know who we could tell. Because we think we are alone in them. Or because we do not yet have the words.
Perhaps something has been with you for a while. A relationship, a decision, a change, anger, grief, overwhelm or loneliness. Perhaps you keep functioning in everyday life while sensing that something in you needs attention.
The men’s circle makes room for exactly these things. You can say what is weighing on you without needing to have an answer ready. You can speak, listen, or begin by staying quiet.
The circle is a place where what is actually here can become visible, beyond any preconceived idea.
What is shared in the circle stays in the circle. We meet one another with respect and with the intention of offering support. We take care not to judge too quickly, hand out advice, or place our own story onto someone else. We listen, ask questions and examine our projections.
We do not follow a fixed idea of what a man is or should be. Men bring different experiences, bodies, relationships and understandings of masculinity. The circle is not a place where these differences have to be resolved. It is a place where they can exist alongside one another and come into relationship.
We speak from our own experience and leave each man with the authority to interpret what he is living through. We do not try to analyse him, rescue him or offer advice he did not ask for. When something triggers a strong response in us, we first examine what belongs to our own story. This allows support to emerge without one man telling another who he is or what would be right for him.
loving presence, strong boundaries
strong presence, loving boundaries
Many men are not used to having a space like this. A place where uncertainty, exhaustion, grief or loneliness can be spoken without immediately being turned into a problem that needs to be solved.
Exhaustion, loneliness and numbness are not failure. They are where something else can begin.
A men’s circle is not a workshop, seminar or advice format. There is no programme designed to lead you towards a particular outcome. Beda and Stefan hold the frame, protect confidentiality, and make sure each man can be present with what he brings.
What emerges cannot be planned. Sometimes something becomes clearer that had long been felt only as restlessness. Sometimes there is relief. Sometimes simply the sense of not being alone in your experience.
Practical details and dates
The men’s circle is open. You can decide afresh for each date whether you want to come. We meet every two weeks in the Bergmannkiez neighbourhood of Berlin-Kreuzberg. You will receive the exact address after registering.
Upcoming dates in 2026: 28 July, 25 August, 8 and 22 September, and 6 and 20 October.
Time: Arrive from 19:00, begin at 19:15, finish around 21:15.
Contribution: €18 per evening, payable on site. No membership, no subscription.
The men’s circle is not therapy or crisis intervention. If you are experiencing an acute mental health crisis, professional therapeutic or medical support is the appropriate setting. The circle cannot replace that support.
Unfinished. In motion. The invitation stands.
