Coaching, fully funded through AVGS.
My coaching usually takes place as a direct arrangement between us. If the Jobcenter or the Federal Employment Agency issues you an Aktivierungs- und Vermittlungsgutschein, there is another route: the coaching is then fully funded. Here is how it works.
What is the AVGS?
The Aktivierungs- und Vermittlungsgutschein (AVGS) is a coaching voucher issued by Germany’s Federal Employment Agency. It lets you work with an accredited provider without paying the cost yourself. It is available to jobseekers, but also to freelancers, self-employed people and people in transition who are registered with the Agentur für Arbeit or Jobcenter.
Both career coaching and business start-up coaching can be funded.
Contact your local Agentur für Arbeit or Jobcenter and explicitly ask for an AVGS for coaching. In the system, this is called a “Maßnahme zur Aktivierung und beruflichen Eingliederung”. Once you have the voucher, book a free initial conversation with me. We will clarify the rest together.
Your caseworker decides whether you are eligible for an AVGS. It is worth asking, especially because self-employed people and freelancers are often overlooked even when they may qualify.
How to obtain one
Administration through verMITTELPUNKT
I am listed as a career and business start-up coach with verMITTELPUNKT, an accredited AZAV provider in Berlin. Your voucher is administered directly through the provider. You pay nothing and do not need to cover any costs upfront. The funding covers the coaching in full.
What is the coaching actually about?
About you, not the voucher. Professional reorientation, starting a business, transitions, finding orientation in complex decisions: you can read more about the substance of the work on the 1:1 Coaching page. AVGS is simply the route through which it is funded. The work itself is the same.
